DTF HEAT TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Preheat the Press:
Set your heat press to the recommended temperature, generally between 135–160°C (275–325°F). Adjust the heat settings according to the thickness and material of your garment.
Step 2
Prepare the Garment:
Lay your garment flat on the heat press and pre-press for 3–5 seconds to remove any moisture or wrinkles.
Step 3
Position the Transfer:
Place the DTF transfer film on the garment with the printed side facing down. Cover it with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper to protect the design while pressing.
Step 4
Press the Transfer:
Close the press and apply firm, even pressure for 10–15 seconds. Adjust your time and pressure slightly depending on the fabric type and thickness.
Step 5
Peel the Film:
Open the press and peel the film immediately while hot. If the fabric is thick and doesn’t peel easily, let it cool for a few seconds before peeling. Always start from a corner and use a smooth, rolling motion.
Step 6
Post-Press (Optional):
For added durability, cover the design again with a Teflon sheet and press for another 5–10 seconds. This ensures the transfer is fully bonded and long-lasting.
